Festive Wrapping Paper Design – Layered Lounge Collaboration

Over the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow within the company, developing my skills across a range of getting to work in the buisness. Working behind photoshoots and assisting the stylist and the basics of picking and packing orders. More recently, I’ve been able to work directly with the Art Director to design and develop our annual Christmas wrapping paper collections.

From gathering festive inspirations to translating them into repeat prints, we've worked closely to ensure each design captures the spirit of the season. Using Pantone colour matching has been key in achieving accuracy and vibrancy when the designs are brought to life in print.

As part of a live brief for Layered Lounge Interiors, I was tasked with creating a Christmas wrapping paper design inspired by “Mistletoe Greens.” Working to a tight deadline, I developed a repeat pattern that captured a festive yet elegant tone, perfectly suited to the brand’s aesthetic.

This fast-paced project not only strengthened my skills in designing for repeat and working within brand guidelines, but also gave me valuable insight into the pace and expectations of a commercial interiors company. It was a rewarding opportunity to apply my print design skills in a real-world setting and contribute to a seasonal product line.
